Season Schedule
Inside Practice: Starts Mid-January
Sunday Afternoons, No Offseason (NOS) Russelton
1-2 Weeknights, Poff Elementary Gym
Outside Practice: Starts Mid-March
Times: Between 5:30-9 (typically, 8U & 10U earlier)
Fields: Assigned by Hampton Township & School District in Winter
Season: Starts Late-March; Ends Late-May
Team Divisions set by WYPLA (Western PA Lax Assoc.) in March
Followed by the annual schedule-o-rama between clubs
Home Games: Fridley Field (HS Stadium); typically, Saturdays
Away Games: Varies, most drives <45 minutes; typically, Sundays
WYPLA Tournament at Wright Fields, Beaver County; typically last weekend of May

Registration & Fees
Registration Opens ~10/1 via TeamSnap
Fees: TBD, annual budgeting in process
Fees scale with age groups; No fee for 8U Hampton Residents!
Volunteer Hours & Fundraising
Each family required to volunteer 1-2 shifts in concession or field support (clock/scoreboard or scorer's table)
Every effort made to make sure that volunteers can see the field during their son's game
Fundraising: HYLAX Board is mindful of the increasing costs of youth sports and has instituted our fee-less 8U program and equipment borrow/rental program in years past. We are currently is exploring ways to help families offset total costs of participation (fees & uniform) and plan to present a fundraising program in the Fall.

Cup (Shock Doctor works well)
Mouth Guard (Shock Doctor works well & has options for those with braces)
HYLAX Borrow/Rental Equipment Program
Club has purchased and/or recycled from former players many equipment sets
Avaiable for Free for all 1st year players
Available for rent for $50 for all others
Sticks
Most sticks for beginning players will work; however, a used stick may come "bagged out" making learning to cradle, catch & throw more difficult than it would be otherwise, potentially leading to player discouragement
Sticks come in all price points, here are some that have worked well for current players:
Junior: (full-size head, thinner shaft): STX Stallion 50, StringKing Comp. Jr.
Starter: STX Stallion 200, Warrior Burn Next, Powell Scout
Intermediate: StringKing Comp. 2 Int., Maverik Critik or Optik Alloy, STX 600
Uniforms
Purchased by player, via TopString lacrosse, cost, club subsidy & logistics TBD
Sticks & equipment may be purchased locally at Dicks Sporting Goods, Top String Lacrosse in Wexford or online at any number of lacrosse sites (i.e. manufacturer websites, lacrossemonkey.com, laxworld.com, laxunlimited.com).
